Football ideas you can use
Touchline is an independent EA FC journal about the decisions behind a match: finding a passing option, protecting a dangerous lane, giving a player a useful job, and deciding whether a change actually helped. The playbook combines original explainers with worksheets, conceptual diagrams and small practice plans.
Start with building a team around player jobs, reviewing a counterattack, or testing one tactical change. Every guide is free to read.
From an idea to your own evidence
The companion Match Lab turns your self-reported problem into an explained coaching hypothesis and a practice task. The tactical board and 3D Arena help you examine a shape. Your match journal holds the results you choose to record. These tools are planning aids, not simulations of EA's engine.
No EA account connection, live market feed, automatic video analysis or guaranteed win improvement is claimed. Clips play locally. Manual price entries remain manual. Read the labels in each tool before interpreting a result.
Who publishes the playbook?
Touchline is the publishing identity. “Touchline editorial” is the byline used for this project; it does not represent a verified staffed newsroom, professional coaching credential or affiliation with EA. The site and its articles are developed with AI assistance. Examples and practice frameworks must be judged on their explanation and your own observations.
Our editorial standards explain sourcing, examples, review dates and commercial disclosures. Our corrections policy explains how to report an issue.
Original visual work
The football artwork was generated for Touchline. The depicted players are fictional; no real player endorsement is implied. Tactical diagrams and the interactive pitches are original code-based illustrations. They show concepts, not measured match footage or official formation behaviour.
